Heathlier Me

I have decided that enough is enough. I am tired (literally), of being overweight and unhealthy. I have been working out, and that has helped, but it hasn't been enough. I have also been on antidepressants for the last 8 1/2 years. Something I have really wanted to get off of. I wanted to deal with my depression the natural way.
I was introduced to a product about a year ago called Shakeology. I was interested, but it was not in the budget. My super, bestest friend Ellen sent me a bag to try. I will be forever grateful to her for that. It has changed my life. After 2 weeks of replacing breakfast with Shakeology, I got off my meds. I didn't tell anyone, especially my husband. He would FREAK! I had been off the antidepressants for 2 weeks when I asked my husband if he had noticed anything different about my moods. He said he hadn't noticed anything and why was he asking. I told him I had stopped my meds. He was a little apprehensive but was extremely happy that we had found something natural that works.

I am SO happy with this product that I decided to start selling it. It has worked wonders for me and I want everyone to know about it.
You can read all about the wonderful benefits here.

I have also started doing hot yoga. WOW is all I can say about that. I have never had a more amazing workout than that. I am doing that here: hot yoga. If you are in St. George, UT. or ever come to visit; you MUST try it out!
me after my 1st class. SOAKED!

I have taken some pictures while working out to prove to myself I was there. Reminds me to go back.

Here is the NEW Vegan Chocolate Shakeology!!
I will reach my goal by the end of the year. I will, I will, I will, I WILL!

I know, I know. I suck at posting. Between school, 5 kids and their schedules, a home and 2 businesses, it is amazing I haven't gone completely loco at times.

Anyway, back to why I am writing this post in the first place. I have decided to change the whole look and feel of my home. This has been a LONG time coming. What do I want? The beach! Gone are the days of "St. George" themed desert colors. I want my place to be soothing as the ocean; even though I live 450 miles from it.

First I had to pick a color. I went with Behr's Skyline Steel   750E-3. GORGEOUS!! Now to cover the light brown.

Scott lending a helping hand

Brooke got lent a helping hand, or two! :)
My dear sweet friends Brooke and Scott helped me with the project since my husband has said that he will never help me paint again. (he hates it)
Almost done.
Here is the "finished" project. It isn't really close to being finished. I am on the hunt for some really awesome frames for one of my walls and the perfect vinyl saying for our family picture wall.

Now onto the kitchen/dining room.

I was tired of the "two-tone" look. Living Room one color and the rest another. So I decided to go the same throughout. My hubs LOVES how the cabinets now "pop" against the new color. I still don't have the heart to tell him I still painting them white.

And finally onto the real reason I am FINALLY posting. I found these beauties while at the D.I. (our local thrift store) for ONLY $27.00 for the set!! WHAT???? I am in love with the color and the how amazing they will look with my "new" home!

Wall Plaque

I have been wanting to do crafts again for quite a while. Since I am now doing school online, I have a bit more time.
I found this plaque at the DI for $2.00 The saying on it made NO sense at all. So I started peeling off all those vinyl letters. What a pain!!
 Finally, they are all off.
I sanded it down so that it was smooth where the vinyl lettering was. I wanted to keep the pink underneath, so I only sanded in the middle.
I then gave it a coat of black semi gloss spray paint.
After it dried most of the way, I sanded so that the pink showed through on the edges.
I then added the new vinyl lettering that I had bought on clearance, um, about 5 years ago. Crazy!!
So all in all this cost me $2.00 and my time. Not bad for a baby gift for my nieces daughter.

Forever and a Day......

It seems like it has been forever and a day since I blogged last. I love doing it, but I find that I don't have the time or the program skills to make it what I really like.

Kamdan turned 8! He had a sock monkey birthday party.  I had a lot of fun doing the decorations for this party.

Blow out the candle!!!
Happy Birthday Kamdan!!

Kamdan also had the opportunity to be baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

My twiners!!

Khydan, Kezedan and Grandpa Cheney

Khydan turned 10. 10!!!!! Since when do I have a 10 yr old??? We did a really fun Angry Birds birthday party for him. It was so much fun! He is in the 4th grade. He also graduated to Webelos in scouts. He is still taking piano and guitar lessons. He will start tap lessons as soon as the studio that we go to adds it to their program. (next month we hope.)
Happy Birthday Khydan!

Happy Birthday!

Kezedan turned 5 on April 26th. Wow! My little man is getting so big. I am amazed at how much he has grown and learned. He still loves horses, and asked for one for his birthday. He is my bug catcher. He loves looking and catching all things that crawl and fly. He still loves Spiderman, too.

He took his assesment for Kindergarten and was smart enough to start 1st grade math! (Just one of the perks of homeschooling)
Kezedan wanted a Spiderman cake, so Dan & I made one. we had to make a wheat free one because of Olivia, so it tasted more like a brownie, but still good.

I'm 2!

Olivia turned 2 in October! She is such a ham!! Our family has been so blessed to have her sweet spirit in our lives. She knows all her abc's and loves to sing and dance. She likes to copy her brothers when they do their karate and loves playing Star Wars with them. She also loves all things princess. She came home from Aunt Renee's house calling herself Princess Olivia! Gosh, I love this girl!! Happy 2nd Birthday, Olivia!!
